Welcome Happy February!

February is such a happy month! It is a tiny little month packed full of joy and celebrations. It is my absolute favorite month of the year! Such good things seem to happen in February. We get to celebrate some great birthdays; Lincoln, Washington, my DS #1. Yes, I became a first time mother in the month of February, and it seems like such a short time ago instead of the 27 years it has really been. We also celebrate two other fun days; Ground Hog Day, and my favorite, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Saturday was a cold, rainy day for us here, but it looked like springtime in the local shops. I found this pink fabric while just browsing. It is sooooo soft and flowy, just the ticket for a new Spring skirt! DS's gifted me with Sew What! Skirts for Christmas and I'm just itching to try it out!

Don't forget to enter my Apron Give-away. There hasn't been a lot of entrants yet. I hope the fact that it is a white apron hasn't scared everyone off. Let me assure you it is made from washable cotton. It is also lined, so you could wear it wrong-side out when you're cooking, saving the outside from those sneaky stains. You still have time to enter. I plan to announce the winner in my February 13, Pink Saturday post. To enter; click on the picture of the apron below then leave a comment on that post. That's all there is to it. You don't even have to be a follower of my blog to enter! I wish you luck and a very happy February!

  2. I was married Feb. 26,1972...we had a major snowfall the night before. Woke to a sunny sky with a white earth. My brother being left handed and the best man could not find the rings as he hunted the right hand pocket. My mother put them in the opposit pocket forgetting he was a lefty. Just before the ceremony he checked the other pocket and found our rings! We love February!

  3. Erica here, from Blissfully Domestic! What beautiful pictures you have on your site! They make me want to decorate something pink and girlie...

Your site loads a bit slow, not because your images are too big, but because there are so many of them. I recommend changing your blog settings so that only 3-4 posts show on a page. This will not only speed up the load time, but make your front page shorter... right now it is VERY long.

Glad you enjoyed the post on BD!!

  7. I just found your site today and love it! I followed a link provided by MissusSmartyPants. This site is so uplifting and fun just like all the aprons you select for different jobs. I will definitely add to my collection now because I find aprons so fun to wear and sew (and I thought I was the only one). Winning this apron would be incredible!
