Summer Dreams

With Taylor's graduation behind us I have only one more big obligation before I can officially begin my summer....VBS Director at my church! I am trying to get everything lined up and the "To Do's" checked off before VBS begins on Sunday.

Ahh...Summer... It brings back so many childhood memories. No, not of swimming, or camping, or any of the active things most kids enjoy in the summer. For me it meant I had time to read! With summer thoughts in mind today, look where I visited...

...and look what I got! And...

...look at the other place I went...the public library. Yes, I hope the bookmobile and the public library are going to be seeing a lot of me this summer.

  5. Oh Sherry, you're so lucky to have a book mobile still! I can't remember SEEING one since I was a little girl! A real shame, I think too, because while I appreciated having one back then, kids STILL need something like this more than ever! I imagine our wonderful gov't officials somewhere along the line discontinued funds, unfortunately. I don't even want to know what other priorities were so much MORE important!.. You'll have to let us know how you liked this book! I may be "sinking my teeth" (ha! ha!) into the Stephanie Meyers books right now, but I'm always keeping an ear open to what other people are enjoying too! Sometimes it hard to make the time, but I really do love to read every chance I get!! ~tina

  6. Sherry,
I lived for Thursdays when the traveling library would come to my little village in Yorkshire (UK.) As a child books brought the huge world of art, culture, history, science to my secluded little world,,, and gave me a taste for adventure... Thank you for reminding me of happy memories, and little seeds that were planted in this young girls heart.. Have a wonderful book filled summer... and thank you for dropping by my blog today...:)))) Hugs, Neinah
