We're Home!

Neil and I had a fun-filled ten day camping trip!
We got a wonderful camp site at Wind Creek State Park.

The beach was in our back yard where we enjoyed some swimming.

My faithful book kept me company on the pier late into the night while Neil did some serious fishing.
He caught enough catfish to fry up some for lunches while there and even brought some home for the freezer.

We enjoyed the wildlife, both day...

...and night.

We biked out to the silo...

...and climbed to the top...

...and were awed by the breathtaking view of beautiful Lake Martin.

It was such a wonderful and relaxing vacation!

We came home to a pouring-down rain yesterday, but today is sunny and cool and feels like fall!
I've done the laundry and some housework but the nice temps keep luring me outside.
I guess I got used to the outdoor life while camping.

  1. With that trailer, it would be a grand way to spend time in a park. I would love it there.

  2. Sherry, I am so glad you had a nice time! The view was fantastic, but I am so afraid of heights, I would not have been able to climb up there to see it:( Our weather has cooled off, too and it seems like it's getting darker earlier. Definitely feeling fall-like. Have a nice week! Twyla

  3. Oh Sherry
I didn't even know you were gone. Sorry. My girls have left me and I'm a little sad, but our moments and memories will last a lifetime.
Now that's a BIG airstream WOW. Nice and comfy for sure.
Those must be my Canadian geese, lol. They have been flying around the river lately. I've told them I would like them to stay away till at least Sept. I'm not done with summer.
Glad you had a wonderful time with your hubby.

  6. Sounds like you had a great trip. I have been wanting to rent an RV and travel for a couple of weeks during the summer, but alone with my kids and husband in such a small place, may have to think that one through a little more.
