The Gift of an Apron

I've been in my little hidey-hole (craft corner) working on Christmas gifts the past couple of days. Hopefully the young lady this apron is intended for hasn't learned of my blog yet since I want to surprise her. But I couldn't wait until after Christmas to show my blog friends my new creation. The fabric print combination was a very happy surprise to me after all my ponderings of putting the two together. I'm such a coward when it comes to mixing prints and colors.

And since an apron without a body is so one-dimensional and flat looking (kind of like a gift without love),

...I decided to be brave this early morning and snap pictures of myself donning the new apron.
It's a no-head kind of morning though because I've yet to finish my second cup of coffee and "put on my face" for the day.  :)

  2. Very pretty . . . she will love it :) Your combination of prints and colors is fabulous and the added "ric rac" gives it a very special touch. Great job!
    Merry Christmas.

  3. I love your apron, Sherry. The ric-rac makes it really fun and sweet. I've poked around on your blog and see you like to hang your clothes outside to dry. I used to have a home where I could do that, and really liked the way it made our clothes and sheets smell. Thank you for stopping by A Joyful Cottage and leaving the nice comment. I'm following you in return and look forward to seeing more of your handiwork. Merry Christmas! -- Nancy

  9. What pretty colors and cute fabric! I love this design, too. I can't wear one that ties at the neck so I usually wear a smock. You did a great job...and it looks cute on you! Hugs!
