Oh, the price we'll pay for the changes we want. This is what my den has looked like this week. My guys pulled our 600 pound fireplace insert out and set it in the middle of the floor so that I could begin my fireplace makeover.

Two base coats, three layers of colors, and one layer of glaze later and Ta Da...almost. I still have to add the clear coats and paint the trim. Hey, when I backed up and took a look at the finished project I impressed myself and believe me, I'm my own worst critic. I'll put the real
after pictures when everything is back in place. I just couldn't wait to show off my new fireplace!

What a marvelous job you did....how did you ever come up with the colors you wanted to use...it looks so good....did you have to use any special kind of paint because of the heat. Trish
