What A Perfect Day to Stay Home!

Nowhere!  I plan to stay home on this cold, rainy day.  My household chores are all done:  The kitchen's clean.

The laundry is all folded and put away.  Now I look forward to several hours of cozy crafty fun before the family comes home and gathers round the table for supper. (We're having homemade pizza tonight, yum!)

I hope you enjoyed the pictures from my 1957 story book, Where Are You Going Today,  and I hope that you have a picture-perfect day wherever you are.  ~ Sherry

  1. Love Love Love the illustrations from the book! How cute! I'm staying home today but probably will have to make one trip to the grocery store. Need a couple of items. Enjoy your crafting.

  2. I just love old books and those illustrations are just precious! We are staying home most of the day, and then my kids have swimming lessons:). My favorite thing is to just stay home...I feel we get so much done and enjoy each other the most:).

Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog.

  3. I would love to be going anywhere. I have not been able to get out of the house all week due to ice and snow. I guess I will have to clean as well.

  4. The cutest illustrations! Precious :) Today was a running day for me. I was out the door by 7am. A bit sleepy right now.

  5. Dear Sherry,
I loved your post. made me smile and recall the days that this type of book would fill my day with happiness.
Hope you have another fun day soon,
    p.s. without the rain thou!

  6. I loved this post very much! The illustrations are wonderfully nostalgic! Helen x

  7. Thanks for visiting Ravenhill Cottage. You have such a pretty blog and will add you to my blog list if that's o.k.

I also enjoyed seeing the vintage illustrations...I remember books like that when I was a little girl.

Oh, and I love staying home, too!

  8. These are such darling pictures! I love them!
