What does this little owlet have to do with getting back to my roots?
She's my entrance back into Pink Saturday.
Pink Saturday is the reason I started blogging in the first place.
I wanted to join Beverly and all the other wonderful posters and show a little of my pinks and visit theirs so I started my own blog back in January 2010.
I've strayed away from pinks a little, thus straying away from Pink Saturday.
But I thought while putting up pictures of the little owl I made today that it would be a good time to revisit some Pink friends from the past and maybe make some new ones. So welcome old and new!
I made the little owl cutie using Simplicity Pattern 1549.
I used fabrics from my stash.
And she was pretty simple to make.
She wanted to go outside and sit in the sunshine a while so I snapped her picture there.
She's going to soon be winging her way northward to my sweet little granddaughter that's turning the
Big 1
in a couple of weeks!
But shhhhhh, don't tell her because it's a surprise!

ReplyDeleteSuch a grin! Your granddaughter just sparkles with personality! Isn't it funny how owls have come back from the 60's? I had forgotten how cute they are! Especially the one you made!

ReplyDeleteHello Sherry, Thank you for your visit and welcome back to Pink Saturday. Beverly is my friend of 43 years and she is the reason I started blogging. I too enjoy Pink Saturday.

Whoo is turning 1? Hannah! What a darling grand- she will adore her owlet. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a lovely comment, Sherry. Looks like we both enjoy crafting and sewing. We also made an owl this past week, but with much more of a 'big girl' theme: my college age daughter likes Marvel, and especially Loki, so I gave her a hand as she made a Loki owl! Stay tuned...it will turn up on my blog soon. Enjoy the end of August. :)
