A True Story
A conversation between my dear son and myself when he was around four years old:
DS: "Mama, what's a Zonbeak?"
Me: "A what?"
DS: "You know, a Zonbeak."
Me: "Where did you hear that word?"
DS: "In Children's Church."
He then begins to sing; "Jesus wants me for a Zonbeak..."
Seems they learned a new song in Children's Church that morning. :)
Sometimes it's all in the way you look at something.
Did you smile?
I hope so.
I made something just for you.
Hope you have a Sunshiny day!
Lovely ... Thanks for sharing :) I wish I had the full song to listen to. And your conversation with your son ... the sweetest part of the post.

Funny. It's so hilarious when kids get words mixed up like that. I remember some of the classics my kids used to say and also a classic of my own from childhood. I used to think the old hymn went....'bringing in the sheep'...found out when I was much older it was actually sheaves...LOL
ReplyDeleteI am so smiling!!! You must be Baptist. I was a Sunbeam when I was little, then I was a GA and Acteen!!!

Sherry,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting and following my blog, and for the very nice comment. I decided to pop over to leave you a note and I found that I love your blog, so I am your newest follower. So nice to meet you! I love the description of a giggly little girl living in a grown up body, and I love your blog post about the dresses. Makes me want to sew one too, but I'm too involved in the project in the basement right now! Have a great weekend.
Julie
