...for my lack of posts. I've been outside playing in the dirt!
Way back in the winter, while we were still having snow and frigid temps, I was making little newspaper cups for my seed starting. Thoughts of my spring garden helped keep me warm on those cold days.
I lined the little pots all up, filled them with homemade potting soil and dropped in the seeds,
and I was rewarded with many, many little plants for my yard and garden.
The Morning Glorys were especially happy in their little pots.
I hope they're as beautiful as the ones that brightened my mornings last summer.
So now, my little Square Foot garden is all planted and I'll just enjoy the sunshine (and the rain) while patiently waiting on the bounty!
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us.
Psalm 67:1
I have been putting out plants also.
ReplyDeleteAnd praying the squirrels don't eat them! I love the Morning Glory flowers.
Blessings,
Shirley
It sounds like a good excuse to me! I love all your little seedling containers. I can't wait to see your garden later in the summer!
ReplyDeleteI love those flowers from last spring. So beautiful. I can't wait to see how these turn out.
ReplyDeleteOk, you're excused for your absence, because playing in the dirt is always a good reason! I used to start my morning glories in old egg cartons, until the squirrels started spilling them all over the porch. Looks like your garden is going to be fantastic this summer!
ReplyDeleteBeing outdoors on a beautiful day is certainly worth it. Love your little newspaper cups. What a great way to repurpose something that normally gets tossed. I hope your little garden flourishes. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the size of garden I could manage.
ReplyDeleteWOW Sherry, you made all those little cute cups?
ReplyDeleteNow you may reap the rewards. Glad to see you again.
Have a great weekend.

Happy Pink Saturday Sherry Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful share. I can't wait to see your garden in full bloom. I have been searching for some morning glories. I so want to have some crawling on my garden wall to greet me each morning. I guess I am going to have to resort to seeds as well, seeing as how the nurseries have been out now for some time here in the desert.
I love your raised garden, I have seen some, but haven't a place to really put one. Mine are corners at angles in my yard. I can't wait to see yours in all of its glory.
A beautiful share sweet friend. A beautiful share. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
