Today I...

washed and rehung the shower curtain and

our fluffy white towels...

...cut my hair (big mistake!)...

...trashed the dining room with boxes of Christmas decorations...

....escaped to the breakfast room to enjoy a little peacefulness...

...had lunch with dear friends (fun!!!)...
...returned library books...

...decorated the tree...

...pondered over the complexities of life
(like how can ornament hooks go separately! into a little plastic bag one year and come out like this the next year!?)...

...cooked Cheddar Chicken Pie and toasted biscuits for supper...

TasteofHome.com
...bundled up and went to our little town's BIG Christmas parade...

...came home and watched The Miracle on 34th Street with sweet hubby.

What a wonderful day!!!

  2. Sounds like the best of days. Great time of the year. And I must say my computer/sewing room is packed with boxes just like your dining room.

  3. What an absolutely PERFECT day! I can't imagine it being more wonderful unless some Christmas fairies had unraveled your ornament hooks during the night and laid them all out on the table for you! :-) Thanks for coming by my blog and commenting! And, I LOVE that breakfast room table runner!

  4. Sounds like a great day, except the cutting your own hair part. Ha! I can't believe you have that little pink pick -- my Mammaw in Mississippi always had one of those that I would use on my hair when we would visit for the holidays. I need to wash my shower curtain. Yesterday hubby insisted we needed new towels but I'm not paying $12-15 per towel so we will have to keep looking. Love that poinsettia on your pretty little quilted table top. I haven't decided when I will decorate yet. We don't have any Christmas parades here, but we do have holiday bazaars and can shop at certain places where holiday decor abounds. My necklaces get all twisted up like that when we travel. My oldest son insisted he could untangle them and wound up breaking two. :/ Love Miracle on 34th Street. Watched the original version in color with a friend last year and had the best time. Have a great weekend, Sherry. Best wishes, Tammy
